Large Ionic Column Candle Holder

Ionic is one of the three column styles that ancient Greek builders used and the Ionic order is one of five classical orders of architecture - it's not hard to see why, it's so pretty!

The Ionic column has scroll-shaped ornaments on the capital which sits at the top of the columns central shaft. Ionic columns are said to be a more feminine response to the earlier Doric order and we're all for that.

Here we've brought ancient Greek prettiness in matt dark blue ceramic form with the function of being a pillar candle holder or plinth for a small ornament... that's if you so choose to adorn it with anything, it's darn lovely all on its own or paired with its little brother!

The flat circular space at the top for a candle or ornament measures 7.9cm in diameter, pictured here with our Vampire Tears candle.
