The height at which you display the bulb is up to you (and dependant on where your plug socket is too as to how much cord you have free), the cord just needs to be gently unfurled when it arrives with you to be displayed however you wish.

The bulb hangs to the right of the camel as you look at it on the wall (this can be made to hang on the left side with the help of a qualified electrician) and it comes with a cable which is approximately 1 metre long - again, this could be extended or even hardwired by a qualified electrician.
