From the moment Queen Victoria saw prince Albert arriving at the foot of the staircase at Windsor in 1839, she was smitten. Five days later she summoned him to her blue closet and proposed to him and the first 'yas queen' was uttered. Probably.

Queen Victoria married Prince Albert, on 10 February 1840 in St James’s Palace chapel, the first marriage of a reigning queen of England since 1554.

Fast-forward 21 years and Prince Albert suddenly and tragically died in 1861, the grief-stricken Queen Victoria dedicated herself to memorialising the marriage as a perfect union.

Thanks to the Queen’s efforts, her marriage to Albert came to be seen as one of the great love matches of all time. Move over Bridgerton.

Celebrate this glorious union with a beautifully bold flock bust of Prince Albert.

As with all flock / velvet handmade items, small imperfections are to be expected in the finish, these are part of the manufacturing process and are not to be considered flaws in the item, your bust is just wonderfully unique!
