This gorgeous table lamp is a fabulous alternative to the standard plug in.
It enables the flexibility of placing it wherever you fancy without the need for calling in an electrician if there's not already a socket nearby (or wires hanging everywhere!).
It requires 2 x AA batteries (not supplied) and will emit a very soft glow that may not be enough to read by but will provide a lovely bit of ambiance in the room, simply flip up the top to pop them in.
